WETT certified technicians and sweeps. Others taking the course may earn one CE credit.     

Length:
One full working day.

Prerequisites:
You must already be WETT certified as a technician, advisor and/or sweep.

Objectives:

• To provide a good overview of the operational features of pellet systems
• To cover code requirements, venting options and general installation and inspection issues

Scope:
This course is designed to augment training already provided by the various pellet-stove manufacturers.

Content:

• Pellet-appliance technology
• Pellet-appliance venting system design and joint sealing
• Pellet-appliance venting configurations
• Calculating the correct pellet vent diameter
• Code requirements for pellet installations

Output:
Successful completion of the course (70% on the examination) results in one continuing education credit,

or

Installers: Successful completion of the course (minimum 70% on the examination), when combined with proof of at least 15 installations of pellet appliances and proof of completion of at least two manufacturer/distributor pellet appliance service courses, results in WETT certification Pellet Technician. 

Sweeps: Successful completion of the course (minimum 70% on the examination), when combined with proof of servicing at least 15 pellet appliances and proof of completion of at least two manufacturer/distributor pellet appliance service courses, results in WETT certification Pellet Sweep.

Advisors: Successful completion of the course (minimum 70% on the examination), when combined with proof of selling / advising on the purchase of at least 15 pellet appliances, results in WETT certifcation Pellet Sweep.
